Assassin's Creed: Revelation's Subject 16 DLC detailed

Clay Kaczmarek (aka Subject 16) appears to be getting his own slice of Assassin's Creed: Revelations DLC. As detailed on the Zavvi retail site, the Animus enigma will play a starring role in The Lost Archive, an upcoming expansion for Ubisoft's sequel which looks to reveal the backstory behind one of the series' most elusive characters through Animus-based platforming challenges.

Subject 16 has appeared throughout the Assassin's Creed games as a rogue Animus construct who drip-feeds secret information to players through hidden glyphs and puzzles. He exists as a copy of the original Clay Kaczmarek, who was once kidnapped by Abstergo and later driven insane by excessive use of the virtual reality machine. In Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Clay played his largest role yet, revealing himself in full to Desmond within the Animus and acting as somewhat of a mentor throughout the game. A trailer over at Eurogamer offers a glimpse at what new revelations lie in wait for Subject 16 in the forthcoming DLC.

On top of new story details, The Lost Archive will also include 3 new character skins, a “Vlad the Impaler's Prison” single player mission, Ezio's Turkish Assassin Armor, Altair's Robe, and the Armor of Brutus. It will be featured in the super-sized Assassin's Creed: Revelations: Ottoman Edition, which will also include Ancestors Character Packs, the Mediterranear Traveler Map Pack, and weapon upgrades when it arrives in March.

The Lost Archive is reported to arrive for download on Xbox LIVE February 28 for 800 Microsoft Points ($10). Similar pricing and release dates are anticipated for PlayStation Network and PC stores.
