Assassins Creed Launch trailer explains the conspiracy-laden plot as clearly as can be expected
Follow Ezio’s journey up until the no-doubt violent end
Ezio has been the star of Assassin’s Creed for the last three years, and within the game’s story, he’s been killing Templars for three decades. For better or worse that’s got to come to an end eventually, and it looks like Ezio is about to ride off into that Renaissance era sunset, but not before he gets some answer. The launch trailer for Assassin’s Creed Revelations gives you some insight into Ezio’s search for some sort of truth during his advancing years, all while he artfully murders dozens of people we’re assuming are jerks.
We don’t know if this is really the end for Ezio, but there’s a real feeling of finality to the trailer. Though the launch trailer was released today, the game doesn’t actually launch until November 15 in all territories (the PC version is out November 29). And no matter the conclusion of the game, this isn’t truly the end for Ezio, as he’s playable in January's Soulcalibur V.

Ubisoft had to "retool" the mobile game lore for Assassin's Creed Shadows, with a brand new modern narrative that "will develop over time"
