Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag - Road to the review
Setting sail
The road begins
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is coming this year, and has the protagonist putting down the creed and raising up a pirate's flag. It's not out until later this year, docking on October 29 for both current- and next-gen consoles, but we've still got plenty to talk about.
So as we wait for the review to arrive, let's look at all of the major coverage we've posted so far.
The overview
After we saw the game we wrote up a general overview, running through the basic systems of the game. In it, we discussed everything we know about Assassin's Creed IV, listing the important elements of the open-world game.
Getting historial
After learning about the game, we dove into the real history of piracy. What is the setting like? Who was around back then? We ran through the real pirates, locations, and events of AC4 in hopes of better understanding the era.
Straight from the source
We still had questions, though, even after seeing everything there was to see. So we went straight to the developers and talked about the inspiration behind Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. In our Assassin's Creed interview the developers told us about the new game, talking up the unique features and about why now is the time for a piracy game.
Don't pirate the game, though
So, what do you expect? Think that Assassin's Creed IV is going to be the best game in the franchise, or do you think it's a sinking ship? Let us know in the comments below!
