Assassin's Creed 3 in 2011? Ubisoft might just have confirmed it
Another big AC next year? What else could it be?
Speaking toMCVabout the continued success of the franchise, Geoffroy Sardin, Ubisoft's European marketing boss, has confirmed,
"Yes, Yves [Guillemot, Ubisoft CEO] mentioned it last week in our financials %26ndash; and more details will be forthcoming. But what I can say is that next year we will have another big Assassin%26rsquo;s Creed game"
A big Asscreed game? That sounds like a full-size console and PC release to me. And given the current circumstances, my money is currently on an official Assassin's Creed III. With Brotherhood essentially a large-scale spin-off utilising the same assets as ACII, Ubisoft will have had a full two year development time between numbered sequels by late next year, meaning that a brand new sequel (set simultaneously in World War II, feudal Japan and Victorian London, naturally) wouldn't be a huge ask.
So, ACIII in 2011. Welcome prospect, or too soon? Whaddayareckon?
