This time, the platoon we follow is comprised of Danes. Interestingly, but for accents, the men are all but identical; more different is the focus on how coalition actions impact the local populace, and on complex questions asked from home about just how trigger-happy these soldiers should be.

Other questions could be asked about the ethics of creating thriller-style tension in the run-up to real combat, but there’s no denying the power of the images director Janus Metz Pedersen has captured.
