Apple pulls iDOS, a DOS emulator for iPhone and iPad, from the App Store

Want to play Commander Keen on your iPhone or iPad? You can... or rather, you could. For several hours on October 26, iDOS, a fully functional emulator of the classic OS, was available on the App Store. Then Apple pulled the plug.

Those few lucky retro fans who were able to get their hands on the old-school app have been testing its limits ever since. Some have even gone so far as to get Windows 3.0 running on their phones through it.

Since Apple pulled the plug on iDOS, it's no longer available on the App Store, but intrepid jailbrakers will still be able to find it under the name DOSPAD. For those that do find it, here's a list of classic games that reportedly work on the emulator with a bit of tweaking (just like the old DOS days).
