The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision Blog reports that Universal is developing a movie version of Ouija, a system of communicating with the dead using a pointer of a specially-printed board. Hasbro currently owns the rights to the printed board as it appeared today; although Ouija has been around for centuries, the board as its known today was manufactured by William Fuld in the 1890s, then acquired by Parker Bros in 1966. Hasbro which acquired Parker Bros in 1991. The film will be a supernatural adventure, and Tron Legacy scribes Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz have been signed up to write the script, which will apparently incorporate Ouija rules such as: never use it alone, never use it in a graveyard, always say good-bye.
