Anvil! director could be making Alfred Hitchcock film
Sacha Gervasi considering biopic
Alfred Hitchcock is about to become the subject of a new biopic, courtesy of writer-director Sacha Gervasi.
The man who brought us stellar documentary Anvil! The Story Of Anvil is currently in negotiations with Ivan Reitman’s Montecito Pictures to write and direct the movie about the filmmaker's life.
Gervasi would use Stephen Rebello’s 1990 book Alfred Hitchcock And The Making Of Psycho as a starting point.
Long considered the ‘Master of Suspense’, Hitchcock is frequently held up as one of the best British filmmakers ever to have lived - which should make an exposing biopic a fascinating watch for those who’ve not thumbed through Rebello’s tome.
Most tantalising is the thought of seeing the making of Psycho re-enacted on screen complete with motel set and creepy Bates residence. But who to play the master himself?
