Anchorman 2 gets a release date
Ron Burgundy is back!
After years of speculation, rumours, pleading and waiting, the news that Anchorman fans have long been longing for has finally arrived… the sequel has got an official release date.
Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues will open in the US on 20 December 2013, which the mathematically-minded among you will have worked out is exactly one year from now.
Director Adam McKay took to Twitter to announce the news. "It's official," tweeted McKay. " Anchorman 2 has a release date: December 20, 2013. Very excited."
As far as plot details go, we're still lacking anything concrete, although we do know that the four leading men will be returning, with Kristen Wiig possibly on board as Brick's love interest.
Whatever they cook up, however, we're sure it's bound to be hugely childish an eminently quotable. Roll on this time next year…
It's official. Anchorman 2 has a release date: December 20, 2013. Very excited. December 20, 2012
