American Horror Story Season 2: More News On Jessica Langes New Character
Moderately spoilery, if spoilers apply to a show that has a whole new story every season
We already knew that – as one of the few actors who who’s returning from season one, but as a new character in a completely new setting and storyline – Lange would this time be playing the administrator at a 1960s East Coast asylum for the criminally insane.
But now Tim Minear – the former Angel and Dollhouse writer, and now one of the writers on American Horror Story – has told MTV that she’ll be a “playing a nun… She's playing an administrator of a facility. It's different. In this instance, she's a bride of Christ." Which would suggest that the new character’s not quite as into booze and fags as her predecessor in season one, though with American Horror Story, you never know.
Even more intriguingly, Minear says that Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine will be playing one half of a pair of characters called “The Lovers” who “is kind of a nod to contemporary sensibilities, as opposed to something from the mid-century."
Not sure what means. Maybe he’s a time traveller, or a banker who spends everybody else’s money…
