Amazon's PS5 deals have gone nuts since the Slim's announcement

There's a new PS5 on the way, and it's going to replace stock of the good old chunky console as soon as supplies run out. That means we're not surprised to see some excellent PS5 deals on the shelves this weekend, but we weren't expecting this level of value. Amazon has bundles available for just £429.99 right now - that's £50 off the standard £479.99 RRP of the console itself. You're not just getting that FC24 bundle here, though, there's an additional game thrown in.

You've got the choice between a Spider-Man: Miles Morales package (now £429.99, was £591.98) or Sackboy: A Big Adventure (now £429.99, was £599.98). These aren't cheap games. Miles Morales is currently up at £45 in Amazon's other PS5 deals, and Sackboy sits at £51.99. In total, you could save up to £169.99 today - that figure beats the previous £100 of value we saw when Currys threw in a free copy of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga with a discounted £399 console.

That's all to say these are the best PS5 deals we've seen on the console so far, offering not just a discount on the console itself, but plenty of value in the additional games packaged in.

PS5 | FC 24 | Spider-Man: Miles Morales | £591.98 £429.99 at Amazon
Save £161 - This is a fantastic offer netting you nearly £600 worth of kit for just £429.99. Not only are you getting the discounted FC 24 bundle here (found elsewhere on the site for £409), but there's a copy of Spider-Man: Miles Morales thrown in as well. Considering that game sells for  about £45 by itself getting it for £20 on top of the heavily discounted console is a score.

PS5 | FC 24 | Sackboy: A Big Adventure | £599.98 £429.99 at Amazon

PS5 | FC 24 | Sackboy: A Big Adventure | £599.98 £429.99 at Amazon
Save £169.99 - You're not only getting FC24 in this package, but also picking up a copy of Sackboy: A Big Adventure to boot. That's all for £50 less than the price of the standard console by itself.

PS5 EA FC 24 bundle £409.99 at Amazon

Just after the lowest price possible? That sits on the PS5 EA FC 24 bundle by itself. You're grabbing this for £409.99 at Amazon today, even at its discounted rate this is still £20 cheaper than other retailers right now.

Should you wait for the PS5 Slim?

Of course, that new PS5 Slim is waiting in the wings. The surprise drop this week, alongside Amazon's Prime Day offerings, likely shot these prices down at Amazon. Prices on the new design mirror those of the current models, at £479.99 for a full disk edition and a slightly cheaper £389.99 price on the digital model (currently £399.99). The attachable disk driver accessory comes in at £99.99, should you choose the digital option and change your mind later.

Aside from the design, there's just one thing to sway you towards the newer device - a boost up to 1TB of storage. Still, you're going to be paying a lot more for this new design when it launches - we wouldn't expect value of this level in newer bundles any time soon. Plus, a PS5 SSD can sort you out for a boost in storage further down the line.
