Way back when American Horror Story was still in development there were rumours that its creators, Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, intended to change the format radically with each season. Now that a second season has been confirmed, those rumors have been proven to be true.
Speaking at the Television Critics Association tour this weekend, FX president John Landgraf said Murphy is actively casting the second season of American Horror Story , adding that “two or three” season one cast members “may be continuing next year, although they would be playing entirely new roles.”
And Jessica Lange revealed at The Golden Globes that she’d be happy to be one of those “two or three”: “Yes, we are considering a second season… Nothing is definite yet… That’s going to be entirely up to [the producers]. I know that everybody that is returning will be playing a different character.”
