Aliens: Colonial Marines trailer makes a strong case for bigger guns
Gearbox drops new gameplay footage from its upcoming squad-based FPS
Gearbox Software has beamed in a new gameplay trailer for Aliens: Colonial Marines, offering virtual space warriors a preview of the screeching, acid-drooling terrors that await them aboard the U.S.S. Sulaco next spring. Going by these latest impressions alone, Gearbox appears to have nailed the gritty, desperate atmosphere from the films. But then, compared to the scads of other other FPSs featuring low-lit, rundown and alien infested spaceship environments (many of which were no doubt inspired by the Aliens franchise) it also looks a tad...generic?
Taking place after the events of Aliens 3, Aliens: Colonial Marines is a squad-based FPS shooter which follows four well-armed marines as they hunt for the legendary Ellen Ripley aboard the abandoned spaceship Sulaco. What caused the crew to disappear? What dangers await those who enter? We're guessing Xenomorphs, Xenomorphs, and more Xenomorphs.
Aliens: Colonial Marines is on track to wrap up its lengthy six-year development Spring 2012 when it arrives for PS3, Xbox 360, PC and on an unconfirmed date for Wii U.

This new indie D&D campaign setting brings Studio Ghibli and Zelda: Breath of the Wild aesthetics and worldbuilding to the tabletop RPG, and I'm already scheming hard as a DM
I've seen enough: Assassin's Creed Shadows will beat Black Flag as my favorite AC game as Ubisoft says it lets you "Naruto run" as the "fastest Assassin" it's ever made
