Alexis Bledel has signed on to get suited and booted as a teen assassin in new shoot-em-up Violet And Daisy .
Despite having just turned 29, the Gilmore Girls star will be playing one of the titular teen killers, alongside The Lovely Bones ’ Saoirse Ronan and possible killer-trainer James Gandolfini.
Ronan has just finished up work on her own assassin film Hanna , in which she plays the titular teen who is trained by her father to be a “cold-hearted killing machine”.
Violet And Daisy will follow the two girls as they take on a seemingly straight-forward kill job, only to find that their target is “not what they expected”.
The film will be the directorial debut of Precious screenwriter Geoffrey Fletcher (who won an Oscar this year), and will begin shooting next week in New York.
“I wanted to make a film that was full of left turns,” Fletcher has said. We could be in for a bumpy ride.
