Alex Winter talks Bill & Ted 3

It’s been quite some time since we received an update on proposed sequel, Bill &Ted 3 , with star Alex Winter taking time out to explain the challenges posed by the project.

“The thing we had going against us is that word got out,” says Winter. “That was kind of a bummer. It just takes a long time to put a movie together… I just feel bad [ the fans ] have to get dragged through this long, boring, protracted process.”

As to what the sequel will deal with, Winter says, “it’s all about Bill and Ted grown up, or not grown up. It’s really sweet and really fucking funny. But it’s a Bill & Ted movie... it fits very neatly in the [ series ]. It’s not going to feel like a reboot.”

However, as Winter alluded to earlier, even the most established of movie franchises face a long road before actually getting made, and Bill & Ted is no different…

“The script’s been finished for a while, but comedy is so specific,” says Winter. “We’re in that world where producers are on, financiers are on and we’re just working and reworking the script.” Watch this space…
