The first trailer has arrived online for The Overnight, Patrick Brice’s sex comedy in which Adam Scott and Taylor Schilling accept a dinner invitation at Jason Schwartzman’s house, only to open a Pandora’s box of sexual awkwardness…
After the kids are packed off to bed, Schwartzman and his wife Judith Godrèche decide to crank the evening up a notch, prompting an increasingly bemused Sxcott to ponder that, “this is California… maybe this is what dinner parties are like?”

The film won rave reviews after its appearance at Sundance, with reports claiming the film pushes things way beyond the usual sex comedy boundaries. Schwartzman for one seems to be having the time of his life, while Scott does this kind of straight man routine better than almost anyone in the business…
Directed by Brice and co-starring Kyle Field and Sarah DeVincentis, The Overnight will open in the US on 19 June 2015. A UK date has yet to be confirmed.
