Some games have misleading titles. Some just don't make sense. A Space Shooter For Two Bucks is not one of those games.
Just like its title says, the upcoming downloadable PS3 game will be a basic space-shooting title, and will sell for two bucks. Well, technically it's $1.99, but "A Space Shooter For One Buck And Ninety-Nine Cents" just doesn't have the same ring to it.
Frima Studio, the company behind the game, says it "may be the most appropriate and what-you-see-is-what-you-get (WYSIWYG) titles (sic) in gaming history." With the exception of the recent mega-hit,"An Overhyped Sci-Fi FPS For $60," we'd have to agree.
Actually, if you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber, the name isn't entirely accurate. For you, it's A Space Shooter For Free - the game will cost nothing for members.
But being cheap doesn't necessarily mean it's shoddy. We haven't played it yet, but we know the game packs in a full storyline with voice acting, all sorts of ship upgrades, myriad weapons, and more alien bad guys that you can shake a stick at.
The gamelaunches just in time for that fateful holiday - December 21.
