50 Worst Comedy Movies
Laughter free-zones
The Sweetest Thing (2002)
The Movie: Billed as the female answer to the male-dominated gross-out genre, this laugh-free misadventure is heavy on the dick jokes, but light in any kind of wit. One for Cameron Diaz to forget...
Worst Gag: The Penis Song. YouTube it, if you're gluttons for punishment.
Bride Wars (2009)
The Movie: Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson seem to be competing to turn in the most charmless performance in this mean-spirited tale of a pair of warring bezzies. The result is a dishonourable draw.
Worst Gag: "Your wedding will be huge, just like your ass at prom!" Zing! Or not.
The Love Guru (2008)
The Movie: Mike Myers has always been fond of a fart joke, but this one aims so low it plumbs depths even Fat Bastard wouldn't sink to. Dreadful stuff.
Worst Gag: The unbridled hilarity of a pair of mating elephants is a low point…
Gigli (2003)
The Movie: A crime comedy starring Hollywood's (then) hottest couple? Sounds like a recipe for success. One that also pokes fun at lesbians and the disabled? Not so much.
Worst Gag: The infamous, "turkey time" line. Gobble gobble, indeed…
Howard The Duck (1986)
The Movie: The adventures of a sarcastic humanoid duck from outer space, who's got heaps of attitude, yo! what could go wrong?
Worst Gag: The creepy dynamic between Howard and young Leah Thompson, that has him panting and sweating at the sight of her in her nightwear. Unnerving.
The Master Of Disguise (2002)
The Movie: Dana Carvey heads up this braindead caper about a man with a limitless capacity for transforming his person. About as funny as Paul Whitehouse in those Aviva adverts.
Worst Gag: Carvey's character is hilariously named "Pistachio Disguisey". Yep, that's us out.
It's Pat: The Movie (1994)
The Movie: The feature-length version of the inexplicably popular It's Pat sketch from SNL. Across a six-minute sketch, Pat would inevitably begin to grate. Across a 78-minute feature film…
Worst Gag: The bar scene in which a sexually ambiguous Julia Sweeney comes on to the sexually ambiguous Pat amid a barrage of excruciating dialogue.

White Chicks (2004)
The Movie: The Wayans brothers disguise themselves in grotesquely shonky prosthetics to play a pair of white sisters in this deeply questionable cocktail of offensiveness.
Worst Gag: The inevitable toilet scene. Imagine the laughs you could have with a man taking a dump in the ladies' bathroom! Oh, you've seen American Pie ? As you were then.
Freddy Got Fingered (2001)
The Movie: Remember when Tom Green was a thing? Well this was the nadir of that particularly bleak period in popular culture. Oft labelled the worst comedy ever, with good reason.
Worst Gag: There are plenty to choose from, but the moment where Green sucks milk from a cow's udder has to be right up there.
Norbit (2007)
The Movie: Eddie Murphy indulges his enthusiasm for playing overweight, middle-aged women in this horrendous tale of a "normal" guy who ends up hitched to a nightmarish other half. Fully deserving of its reputation, which should have you running for the hills.
Worst Gag: Rasputia (for that is her name) attempts to fit down a narrow water-slide in a microscopic bikini. It writes itself, doesn't it?
