50 Most Annoying Movie Brothers
Oh brother…
Danny American History X
The Movie Brother: Danny (Edward Furlong), younger brother to reformed neo-Nazi Derek (Edward Norton).
Why So Annoying: Danny idolises his brother so much that he starts down a similar slippery path to hell - just so he can be like him. Don’t these guys learn?
Sebastian Cruel Intentions
The Movie Brother: Sebastian (Ryan Phillipe), the smarmy, moneyed step-brother of devious Kathryn (Sarah Michelle Gellar).
Why So Annoying: A sleazy richboy, Sebastian isn’t above messing with people’s emotions. Which means he enthusiastically takes up Kathryn’s bet to deflower virgin Annette Hargrove (Reese Witherspoon). Bad boy.
Jake & Elwood The Blues Brothers
The Movie Brothers: Jake (John Belushi) and Elwood (Dan Aykroyd), who attempt to save an evangelical church by reforming their rhythm and blues band.
Why So Annoying: The Blues brothers are equally as annoying as one another – where Jake is an irresponsible convict, Elwood shows just as much disrespect for the law, going so far as speeding off when he runs a red light. And that’s only the beginning…
Brennan & Dale Step Brothers
The Movie Brothers: Brennan Huff (Will Ferrell) and Dale Doback (John C. Reilly), who still live with their parents despite being middle-aged.
Why So Annoying: These guys are spoiled beyond belief and have no intention of moving out of their parents’ house. When they're forced to move in together, their petty pranks expose just how immature they really are.
Michael The Godfather
The Movie Brother: Michael Corleone (Al Pacino), younger brother of Santino (James Caan) and desperate to prove his worth.
Why So Annoying: There’s screwing up, and then there’s screwing up . Michael really screws up when he goes off half-cocked to kill Sollozzo and McCluskey, which causes the Five Families to engage in open warfare. Oops.
Tristan Legends Of The Fall
The Movie Brother: Tristan (Brad Pitt), middle brother to responsible Alfred and youngest Samuel.
Why So Annoying: Tristan may be well-read, but he’s also wild and impetuous, as exemplified in his behaviour at just 12, when he poked a sleeping bear. Sure, he got its claws as a reward, but that’s not exactly responsible, is it?
Jake The Brothers Grimm
The Movie Brothers: Will (Matt Damon) and Jake Grimm (Heath Ledger), fraudulent ghostbusters who discover that bad things really do exist – and it’s their job to fight them.
Why So Annoying: Jake’s continued and wilful spontaneity is a constant source of frustration for Will, who finds it almost impossible to keep him safe in the face of danger.

Fabious Your Highness
The Movie Brother: Fabious (James Franco), the lush-haired, swaggering older brother to Thadeous (Danny McBride).
Why So Annoying: Fabious is good at everything. Like, everything. He can slay beasts. Save maidens. Ride horses elegantly. He’s the superhero to Thadeous’ mortal. Makes you sick, doesn’t it?
Charlie Rain Man
The Movie Brother: A Los Angeles car dealer, Charlie (Tom Cruise) is the looks-are-everything bro to autistic Raymond (Dustin Hoffman).
Why So Annoying: Charlie doesn’t understand his brother, and he doesn’t even try to. Then, when he discovers Charlie’s mathematical aptitude, he exploits it in order to make money…
Danny Role Models
The Movie Brother: Alright, this one’s a bit of a cheat. Though Danny (Paul Rudd) isn’t a relative to Augie (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), he’s the closest thing he’s ever had when he’s assigned to buddy up with him as his ‘Big Brother’.
Why So Annoying: Danny just doesn’t care, and he doesn’t get Augie’s strange fascination with RPG. Of course, that changes by the end, but it’s touch and go for a while.
