50 Most Annoying Movie Brothers

Buck Russell Uncle Buck

The Movie Brother: The somewhat rotund uncle to Tia (Jean Louisa Kelly), Miles (Macaulay Culkin), and Maizy (Gaby Hoffmann), and brother to nerdy Bob Russell (Garrett M. Brown).

Why So Annoying: Buck’s a walking disaster. Everything he does is either over-the-top (giant pancakes!) or comes a cropper (washing machine disaster!). At least his heart’s in the right place…

Harry Freaky Friday

The Movie Brother: Harry (Ryan Malgarini), younger brother to rebellious teen Anna (Lindsay Lohan).

Why So Annoying: He reads your diary. He wears your bra. He jumps on your bed. He drags his friends into your bedroom. Harry’s a mischievous little fellow whose mission in life is clear – destroy Anna’s reputation at any cost.

Antonio Loose Canons

The Movie Brother: Antonio (Alessandro Preziosi), oldest brother in the Cantone family, and sick of working for his father.

Why So Annoying: Antonio hijacks his brother Tommaso's (Riccardo Scamarcio) coming out announcement by beating him to the punch, revealing his own man-loving during a family dinner. The fact that their father promptly has a heart attack means poor Tommaso can’t possibly come out now…

Pubert Addams Family Values

The Movie Brother: Newest member of the Addams Family, and the spitting image of his father.

Why So Annoying: Pubert has the uncanny ability to dodge every one of Wednesday (Christina Ricci) and Pugsley’s (Jimmy Workman) deadly booby traps, meaning he’s impossible to get rid of. In short: a tiny terror, and a true Addams.

Tommy Brothers

The Movie Brother: Tommy Cahill (Jake Gyllenhaal), brother to Marine captain Sam Cahill (Tobey Maguire).

Why So Annoying:
You go away to fight a war, and when news of your supposed death reaches home, your brother wastes no time hopping into the sack with your wife. Can’t trust anybody these days.

Kenny Dont Tell Mom The Babysitters Dead

The Movie Brother: Kenny Crandell (Keith Coogan), the rock-loving, weed-toking brother of Sue Ellen (Christina Applegate).

Why So Annoying: Like all the best tokers and bong-lovers, Kenny’s a layabout with zero drive. He also enjoys blasting out music while you’re trying to have a relaxing soak in the tub, and invites his buddies over to help clear the cupboards of food.

Stuart Stuart Little

The Movie Brother: A wee little mouse who’s adopted by the Little family.

Why So Annoying: He’s a mouse, for crying out loud. No wonder new brother George (Jonathan Lipnicki) welcomes him with such hostility. Sure, he’s voiced by Michael J. Fox, but Stuart’s always getting himself into trouble – like that washing machine incident.

Randolph & Mortimer Trading Places

The Movie Brother: Randolph (Ralph Bellamy) and Mortimer (Don Ameche), who own a thriving commodities brokerage in Philadelphia.

Why So Annoying:
These two are so sick with riches that they use human beings as pawns in their own little games – hence a bet that they can turn a homeless guy (Eddie Murphy) into a respectable businessman. Happily, they get their comeuppance at the end. Old gits.

Dicky The Fighter

The Movie Brother: Dicky Eklund (Christian Bale), the older half-brother of boxer Micky Ward (Mark Wahlberg).

Why So Annoying: Dicky has problems, and he just can’t seem to get rid of them. A failed pugilist, he's addicted to various substances, and his crackpot schemes only make things worse – like, for instance, pimping out his girlfriend and then posing as a cop. D'oh.

Michael Halloween II

The Movie Brother: Michael Myers, who – as we discover in this ‘80s sequel – is actually big brother to Final Girl Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis).

Why So Annoying:
He’s got a nasty habit of killing all of Laurie’s friends. Worse still, he’ll kill anybody who gets in between him and his sister, who’s sort of like the top prize in a serial killer raffle.
