The firework scene: As The Man (George O'Brien) and his Wife (Janet Gaynor) reconcile during a trip to the city, the night sky above a carnival is bathed in the dazzling light of a fireworks display.
Don't try it at home: All of this because The Man tried to kill The Wife! Just chillax and watch the lights.

The firework scene: Michael Winterbottom's London-set drama takes place over the course of a November weekend, where Bonfire Night provides an opportunity to bask in the glow of a fireworks display.
Don't try it at home: Bonfire Night also provides excellent cover for thugs to mug a kid for his Walkman.
16. Hana-Bi (1997)
The firework scene: Takeski Kitano's cop thriller is named after the Japanese word for fireworks - literally "fire flowers" - but not many actual fireworks are seen in the film itself, save one rocket that fails to ignite and this picture (painted, in real life, by Takeshi himself).
Don't try it at home: Hey, if you want to paint pictures of fireworks, go ahead.
15. Cape Fear (1991)
The firework scene: Woken by fireworks, Leigh Bowden (Jessica Lange) looks outside and spots her family's tormentor Max Cady (Robert De Niro) sitting menacingly on a neighbouring roof.
Don't try it at home: When you're threatened by an intruder, don't bother with fireworks - they don't last long enough. Invest in security lights instead.

The firework scene: Sound technician Jack Terry (John Travolta) tries to locate kidnapped witness Sally (Nancy Allen) through his earpiece, but it's hard to hear her whereabouts against the backdrop of the Liberty Day Parade fireworks.
Don't try it at home: Good luck trying to hear anything beneath the fireworks.
