Coolest Detail: It’s just so frickin’ clever, what with the shoes making Ghostface’s eyes, and the innards his grisly mouth. Wonder if Drew Barrymore's seen it...
Halloween (1978)
The Poster: Dark and chilling, forcing us to remember the film’s showcase opening scene in which a young Michael stabs his sister to death.
Coolest Detail: The mask mash-up, which pairs the familiar William Shatner original with the clown mask Michael wears as a kid.
The Goonies (1985)
The Poster: Promises pirate madness and a weird-looking chap with funny eyes. Shame Chunk’s not doing the truffle shuffle.
Coolest Detail: Its rustic aesthetic makes it look like one of the Goonies genuinely drew this.
Total Recall (1990)
The Poster: Featuring just about every major character from Arnie’s classic sci-flick, even finding space for the useless robotic cab driver. But where’s the chick with three boobies?
Coolest Detail: The head-splitting costume that Quaid uses.
Carrie (1976)
The Poster: Suitably bloody, with Carrie pulling the iconic pose that says she means business.
Coolest Detail: The fractured glass is a simplistic but canny nod to Carrie’s broken mind.
The Lost Boys (1987)
The Poster: Newspaper cuttings compete with rock ‘n’ roll posters, not to mention the entire cast – though sadly Grandpa’s not included.
Coolest Detail: A never-cooler Kiefer Sutherland.
Mad Max (1979)
The Poster: Max. In his car. With the exposed engine. Looking bad-ass. Ho mama!
Coolest Detail: The whole thing reeks of cool – though the lightning bolt in ‘Mad’ is a fun flourish.
Spaced (1999-2001)
The Poster: The kind of poster that would do Simon Pegg and Nick Frost proud, displaying their Spaced characters alongside the best of their sci-fi favourites.
Coolest Detail: It’s a ‘Where’s Wally’ for geeks, crammed with geeky film references.
Iron Man (2008)
The Poster: A mechanical marvel (ahem) that focuses solely on our favourite bionic man.
Coolest Detail: The Iron Man logo is a blinder.
Blade Runner (1982)
