50 Cent: Bulletproof G-Unit Edition review

It's better than the original, but does that really mean anything?

While a compacted version of Fiddy's gangster-style shooter may sound even scarier, we have some good news: 50 Cent: Bulletproof G-Unit Edition for PSP is vastly superior compared to the PS2 and Xbox versions. The bad news is, that isn%26rsquo;t saying much of anything.

The main problem with 50 Cent is that it just has no idea what the hell it wants to do. Its new groove for PSP is a top-down camera, which gives the game an Action RPG feel, similar to hack-n%26rsquo;-slash RPGs like (Dungeon Siege, Baldur%26rsquo;s Gate), but missing all the aspects that make it fun. Controls are a mess, and the maps are spirals of decrepit streets that look the same everywhere you go. Likewise, the same thugs of the street endlessly come up to you, either to hit you or shoot you. Same thing, over and over. The multiplayer modes had potential, but with the PSP Killzone on the horizon and doing every single thing better, they can't seal the deal.

DescriptionBetter than the full-sized actioner but so what? Its RPG style is interesting at first, but after a few rounds of killing the same guys, it's played out. Fiddy fans might try to like it, but odds are they won't be successful.
