3DS XL Club Nintendo registration nets free game for European owners
Super Mario 3D Land, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask among selection
European 3DS XL owners will get some extra bang for their buck come January. Nintendo is offering one of five games, including Super Mario 3D Land and Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, for free to any owners who register their systems with Club Nintendo by January 15.
The deal also includes New Art Academy, New Style Boutique, and Freakyforms Deluxe. Users receive a download code for the game of their choice at the email address associated with their Club Nintendo accounts, and the codes can be redeemed any time from January 1 to 31.
Fret not if you already purchased a 3DS XL, as the deal's terms and conditions state any European 3DS XL registered since the embiggened console's release in July is eligible.
Nintendo of America hasn't announced any similar deals for North American customers, though we'll let you know if and when it happens.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
