Now of course, that could be all that Samurai Warriors Chronicles is doing, but we would hope Nintendo could actually set one of its feet in the same room as everyone else in this industry. So we're hoping for the best.
From what has been revealed, it doesn't look as though the 3DS has made any really great strides in online connectivity. Unlike Sony and Microsoft, Nintendo has no sort of online community for its players to connect with one another, and it relies on complex friend codes that must first be shared with people offline or through a third-party online source. It doesn't appear as though the 3DS will really change that.
But, if it can at least give developers the flexibility to change and improve their games after they're already printed, that is at least an improvement.
