2010 Golden Globe Winners

The 2010 Golden Globe Awards Ceremony took place in Beverly Hills last night, presented by our very own Ricky Gervais.

Well, the winners are in. And what looks like the biggest surprise of the evening is the fact that Avatar nabbed both top prizes: the Best Drama and Best Director awards.

Despite being up against stiff competition from the likes of Precious and The Hurt Locker , it was Cameron’s blue-skinned 3D epic that grabbed the coveted prizes.

Meanwhile, Jeff Bridges took home the Best Actor (Drama) award for his performance in Crazy Heart , and Sandra Bullock received her first Globe for her dramatic turn in Blind Side . She has been nominated twice before.

But what of The Hangover grabbing Best Musical or Comedy, shoving (500) Days of Summer aside in the process? And did Avatar really deserve Best Drama?
