11 mostly amazing items of gaming paraphernalia we found when moving offices
From toilet signs to pillowcases - these game related items really are mostly amazing
We moved offices the other day at GamesRadar UK. I say offices, but it was actually just desks. We moved desks. We moved to some new desks that were about 10 ft from our old desks. But regardless of the distance, we still had to pack up all our crap and move it. And in the process we found a bunch of interesting items of gaming paraphernalia that we had completely forgotten about. I thought you might be interested in having a look for yourself. So here it is.
A hand-drawn Prince and katamari by Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashi
Takahashi drew this for me when I met him at UK gaming festival GameCity in 2009. He's a lovely chap. Very softly spoken and with a very calm vibe about him. Probably one of the least awkward interviews I've ever done with a Japanese dev (often even the translator doesn't have a clue what I'm talking about). I asked him to do me a drawing and he obliged. I particularly like the fact that he ballsed up the first Prince and scribbled it out.
An actual real life N-Gage
It might be worth something one day. Although it might not. Still, we'll keep hold of it as a gaming curio to remind us of sidetalking. I thought we had a Gizmondo somewhere as well, but apparently not. Maybe someone stole it. We also found four PSPs. No one seemed interested in stealing them.
A box full of limited edition DS styluses from E3 2004
Nintendo gave away these swish touch-screen prodders to attendees at E3 2004. So they're super exclusive. They require three watch batteries and the tubey bit in the middle pulses with blue light. Despite being forgotten under my desk for over seven years, they still seem to work. I can't really remember how I acquired a box full of them. I don't think I mugged Reggie.

The GTA: San Andreas CD Box Set
The box is a bit faded, there's a coffee stain on one side and the K-Jah CD is missing, but other than that this San Andreas soundtrack has endured the last seven years incredibly well. A good excuse to fire up the CD player if ever there was one.
Xbox 360 gents toilet sign
I definitely did steal this one. It was on the gents toilet door at the Xbox 360 launch party at some club in London. I went for a pee at the end of the night and just took it off the door on my way out. I wish I'd got the one off the ladies toilet door as well. Would have made a nice set.
