10 Cool Family Guy Movie Spoofs
See Peter and co take on Hollywood
Ah, Family Guy. Cancelled more times that a TotalFilm.com writer's credit card and once consigned to being chuckle fodder for collegiate stoners... The series is now one of the most popular on the planet.
With creator, writer and voice actor Seth MacFarlane being a colossal cinephile, Family Guy is packed with in-jokes, references, homages and even entire remakes of films, from Hitchcock to Spielberg, classic to cult, there's barely a film they haven't poked fun at.
Here are ten of the best....

The Spoof: Lord of the Rings (2001-2003)
If they’d made the movie: This has to be in their list of films to do as an extended episode! With a fellowship consisting of Stewie, Chris, Bryan and Neil as the Hobbits, Peter as Aragorn, Quagmire as Legolas, and Cleveland as Gimli.
Joe could play Gandalf, with Mr Pewterschmidt as Saruman, the Giant Chicken as The Balrog, Adam West as Elrond, Herbert as Theoden...
Next: Pulp Fiction [page-break]
The Spoof: Pulp Fiction (1995)
If they’d made the movie: Peter as Vincent Vega, Cleveland as Jules, Joe as Butch, Quagmire as Z, Lois as Mia Wallace, Ollie Williams as Marcellus Wallace, Bruce the gay guy as Mr. Wolf… Make it happen.

If they’d made the movie: Peter as Indy and Stewie as Short Round of course, Lois as Marion, Brian as Sallah, Cleveland as Katanga... they don't have to make all three - we just want to see Family Guy 'Raiders'.
Next: Transformers [page-break]
The Spoof: Transformers (2007)
If they’d made the movie: Okay so that’s Megatron from the cartoon, but a Family Guy Transformers movie has all kinds of options...
Chris as Sam, Connie Demico as Mikaela, Peter as the voice of Optimus, Cleveland as Jazz, Stewie as Megatron…
Next: Christian Bale [page-break]
The Spoof: Uses the actual audio of the Christian Bale rant on the set of Terminator Salvation .
If they’d made the movie: Not really a movie here, unless they did the Family Guy Terminator – which would be awesome! Lois as Sarah Conner, Peter as Kyle Reese.
Next: The Shawshank Redemption [page-break]
The Spoof: Er… The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
If they’d made the movie: It’s practically all there, but an hour long version would be even better…
Next: Jaws [page-break]
The Spoof: Jaws (1975)
If they’d made the movie: Peter, Joe and the wooden Sea Captain would go to sea. Chris and Stewie would play the Chief’s two sons Michael and Sean. Lois would play Ellen, Meg the girl who dies in the famous opening sequence.
Next: Back To The Future [page-break]
The Spoof: Back to the Future (1984)
If they’d made the movie: Peter as Biff, Chris as Marty, Stewie as the Doc, Quagmire as George McFly, Lois as Lorraine McFly. Plenty of options for gags, with all the time travelling shenanigans. If only Seth MacFarlane would make a spoof of every movie...
